Knepper's Alaska Fishcamp.
A family-built lodge on the Kenai. World-class halibut charters to riverbank salmon fishing. 2,500+ guests through the door.
The work
A fish camp that grew up.
Back in 1988, the first Fishcamp began along the Deep Creek River in Ninilchik — two father and son teams in tents, a pastor speaking around the fire pit, food cooked over open flame. Nearly four decades later, that camp is a full-fledged lodge: Riverfront cabin, Riverview deck, hot tub, halibut charters, summer schedule filled by April.
From this side, the work has been brand, web, search, and apparel. Every rebuild has the same job: keep the camp feel without sliding into camp clichés. Expedition-grade, not bro-corporate. The river does the heavy lifting.
Brand snapshot
The system, simplified.
Mark
The sockeye mascot. Reads as a working camp emblem — closer to a fly-shop patch than an agency-built logo. That's on purpose.
Palette
Deep river and pine anchor it. Glacier opens the breath. Sockeye is the single warm spark — used sparingly, like the fish itself.
Tone
Expedition-grade.
Not bro-corporate.
From world-class fishing to riverside relaxation, the Fishcamp will refresh and renew. Ninilchik, Alaska. Since 1988.
The brand reads more like a curated outfitter than a cabin-camp. No clipart fish. No cartoon hooks. The sockeye mascot does the lifting.

Approach
Expedition-grade. No cartoon hooks.
The KAFC sockeye mascot is the brand asset. Logo evolution traced from 2008 to today — each revision pulling further from the clipart-fishing aesthetic and closer to a curated outfitter feel. The current SVG lockup is the canonical mark.
The site supports the booking calendar, the team page, Col's Outpost (the apparel line), the FAQs, and the schedule that fills by spring. Search visibility is honest: structured headings, accessible labels, real photos, real names.
Result
2,500+ campers. Schedule full by spring.
The brand carries year after year. The site books the season. The apparel line (Col's Outpost) sells through. The summer of 2026 was largely booked by April. The thread from the fire pit in 1988 to the Riverfront Lodge today is unbroken.
